Transportation
This part of Richmond is very car friendly. Finding a place to park is quite easy, and many houses for sale are a very short car ride from the closest highway, such as Highway 99. In contrast, commuting by transit can be at times challenging in East Cambie as a result of the service's low frequency. Thankfully, there are a few bus lines passing through the neighbourhood, and most properties are very close to a bus stop. East Cambie is not very cycling-friendly as riding is rendered arduous by the typically hilly area, and there are very few bike lanes. Walking in this part of the city is also not very popular, although many common errands can be run without needing to resort to a vehicle.
Services
It is often possible for property owners in this neighbourhood to purchase general and specialty groceries on foot. Moreover, this part of the city is a fairly good place in which to eat out, and a small selection of cafes is available as well. When it comes to education, in this area, parents and their schoolchildren will typically be able to reach daycares and schools on foot.
Character
East Cambie offers a broad selection of green spaces to enjoy. Parks are very easy to access since there are about 20 of them close by for residents to visit. Due to the presence of very few people out and about on the streets, this part of Richmond remains relatively quiet.
