Transportation
Active property owners will appreciate the reasonably pedestrian-friendly nature of Downtown; many day-to-day needs are convenient to carry out without the use of a vehicle. In contrast, this area is not very suited for cycling since the bicycling network is rather limited, and cyclists are faced with quite a few hills. The car is very often the preferred way to get around in Downtown. It is straightforward to park, and many homes for sale are a short drive from the closest highway. On the other hand, the public transit system in Downtown is not particularly practical. Thankfully, there are a few bus lines crossing the neighbourhood, and most residences are very close to a bus stop.
Services
A supermarket is generally reachable within a very short walk from any location in this part of Ajax. In addition, there is commonly a restaurant or cafe just around the corner. Property owners have access to a good number of clothing stores within walking distance, for instance along Harwood Avenue. As far as education is concerned, in this part of Ajax, families will usually be able to access schools and daycares on foot.
Character
Most areas in Downtown are reasonably quiet, as there are generally low levels of noise from traffic. Parks aren't well-spread out, making them very hard to get to.
