I have lived within 45 minutes of the centre of Kitchener-Waterloo my entire life. I am a direct descendant of the Mennonite farmers who established this community. The folks who built The Joseph Schneider House were my ancestors. We were made to build and made for community. As a young man, having just graduated from 5 years of high school in 4 years at Rockway Mennonite Collegiate, I had planned to become an architect as I had been accepted to Carleton University. But after working for a few months as a draftsman at the Walter Fedy firm, I decided that I would rather do more hands-on work than just planning in drawing, although I really did love planning and drawing, but I wanted to feel the accomplishment of designing something and then building it myself. So, at the age of 19 years old, I opened my own custom furniture business. A number of years later, I went on to work as the head of the custom furniture at Homestead Woodworks, a division of Country Lane Builders in Hawkesville. I have designed and built nearly 200 kitchens over the last 35 years, and this type of work has been very rewarding for me. In 2012, I got my real estate license and joined my wife, Julie, and together we launched our husband-and-wife team "The Red Carpet Crew". We worked together at Century 21 until 2024 when we decided to make the move to Royal LePage Wolle Realty. We have truly enjoyed being a part of our new brokerage, and it's a great fit for us. I always had my hand in custom woodworking, and even have assisted many real estate clients over the years in either helping them prepare their home for the market or by helping them reimagine the home that they purchased with us. Personal interests and passions are traveling, taking road trips, doing puzzles, playing card games and board games, telling "Dad" jokes, and spending time with my dear friends and family. I love what I do, and enjoy working with Julie to help our buyers and sellers to achieve their real estate goals. The different services that we offer our clients is a big part of why our results have been so steady and solid for over 15 years now.
